Any~way, I'm going to cover the releases of 2012 that have been introduced so far by Morning Musume! Ya~y! ＼(^o^)／ My, this will be a hard task indeed! -sweat drop- (〃￣ω￣〃ゞ Lets start, shall we?
We started off the new year with a fresh, fun, cute and happy single that not only was Gaki-san's first single as Leader but was also the debut single for our lovely 10th gen members! ヽ(*⌒∇⌒*)ﾉ Pyocopyoco ULTRA ( (ピョコピョコ ウルトラ ) was a great way to bring in a new year. I was among the minority of those who truly adored the costumes, song, PV and everything! ｡◕‿◕｡ Because I really, really did like the single.
Any~way~y! ヽ(＾Д＾)ﾉ Some information about the single! It is Morning Musume's 48th single, released on January, 25th 2012 and debuted at #3 on the Weekly Oricon Charts selling a total of 31,094 copies the first week! Good job, Morning Musume! ლ(╹◡╹ლ) -claps- Enjoy a screen-shot collage!
I guess my over-all rating of the single all together would be a 7 （ｖ＾＿＾）ｖ The song was cheerful and happy (Though it sounded something more like C-ute would do... (ﾉ･ｪ･)ﾉ ) an the costumes were so cute and fluffy looking~! (｡’▽’｡)♡ The dance was odd, probably my least favorite aspect of the whole thing, though the fun effects and cute shots in the PV made up for that. I really liked the interaction that the 10th gen members had, and they all did their lines so well~ (｡♥‿♥｡) Gaki-san showed her leader qualities very well, and she was gorgeous as usual. Riho nailed each and every line, as per usual! (●´□`)♡ (She is my current #1 in Morning Musume, so expect alot of praise.) (*≧▽≦)ﾉ
Alot of people were worried that the "new" Morning Musume would become a children's group after bringing in so many younger members and their newest release. Well, Tsunku sure gave us a surprise with the second release of the year - Ren'ai Hunter (恋愛ハンター) ! With its dubstep sound, cool electronic tones and sexy close-up shots, it brought back the "cool" image to Morning Musume, and I think really revealed the 10th gens potential (Even though they had no lines.. (｡ >艸<) ) It was Morning Musume's 49th single, relased on April 11th, 2012 and selling a total of 41,036 copies within the first week. It was also Niigaki Risa (leader at the time) and Mitsui Aika's last single in the group. <(_ _)> Here is another (crappy) screen-shot collage! (¬､¬)
The dance and costumes really threw me off. I mean, when I saw the costumes and heard the name of the song, I wondered if it would be kinda like an action themed PV, with them doing shots of artificial fighting or running around, ect. But instead, they had glamorous close-ups, awesome magazine animations and pretty sparkle streamers. Then the dance was more action-y, and closer to my original thought for the PV. Oh~well, Tsunku likes to keep us guessing! ヽ(´ー`)ﾉI give this one a 7 also, because while I am not a fan of dubstep sound, Morning Musume pulled it off well, and I really adored the magazine shots. (ﾉ≧∀≦)ﾉ Dance, glamor shots and costumes were lower on the scale, but I still think it was a very good release! I think that everyone looked really cool in the video, especially Reina and Riho and Gaki-san! ♡＾▽＾♡
After the release of Ren'ai Hunter, no one was sure what to expect. I expected another single similar to Maji Desu ka Ska! orPyocopyoco ULTRA, since it would follow the basic order of singles up until then. But instead, we got another cool and electronic release as well as a fun, more traditional Hello! Project sounding release with the double A side of Morning Musume's 50th single! May I present One・Two・Three / the Manenrō Show (One・Two・Three/The 摩天楼ショー)
As I said, it was their 50th Single and was released on July 4th, 2012, selling a total of 100,598 copies within the first week - Congradulations Michishige Sayumi on selling so well in your first single as Leader!〈( ^.^)ノ Here is, yet another, screen-shot collage for your enjoyment! (・｀ω´・)
This is my favorite release of the year, Morning Musume wise, as this single really high-lighted each and every member. The costumes were just the perfect mix and sweet, cute and sexy and I have a weakness for member color costumes (┳◇┳) The dance is simple yet fun and pleasing to the eye, as they move around quite a bit and have many different techniques included. Also, another thing I adored, is the sparkles! ヾ(☆▽☆) Sparkle is my favorite color, after-all! ✖‿✖ The song was great, everyone sounded great and the line equality, though not the best, really worked well with the song and everyone got a chance to be heard. So a very high rating for this single, I'll give it a 9! （⌒▽⌒）
